I remember the excitement (of transitioning to online learning), seeing all of the new courses and classes being offered that I never would have had the chance to take otherwise.

I was able to get more individualized attention with my classes, focus more on my grades, and get my homework completed in an orderly fashion. If I didn't understand something, my online teachers were always available to help me. I did not experience this in (my traditional) high school. The teachers there were overwhelmed and rude, and I didn't have a specific rationale for the courses I took. I remember the excitement (of transitioning to online learning), seeing all of the new courses and classes being offered that I never would have had the chance to take otherwise... I started taking classes on subjects that had always interested me and that I wanted to know more about. Before enrolling in blended course work, I was always distracted and couldn't get the one-on-one attention I needed... I never much cared for sports, music, or other elective classes offered at my high school. I would throw myself into my work and hobbies outside of school — like restoring classic cars.

My blended learning program gave me back the free time I cherish with the help and quiet I needed to succeed.

I originally joined an online school because I suffered terrible migraines and blackouts, causing me to miss an abundance of school. I just wasn't getting where I needed to be academically. Including blended courses, it became easier for me to deal with the migraines and maintain a steady attendance while increasing my grade point. I couldn't of done it without the teachers and staff in my program. They were all great and a tremendous help! They care about you, push you to do your best, and strive to see you succeed. That is not something I received in my traditional public school and I am thankful to have had the experience...
